At Swamp City Coolers, we design and handcraft bespoke, vintage-inspired car window coolers for all types of vehicles, including classic cars, American classics, Volkswagens, hot rods and custom builds.
Our journey began with our own 1956 Chevrolet. We wanted to fit a traditional vintage swamp cooler, but every original we found was either badly corroded or prohibitively expensive. So, we decided to create our own inspired version. After producing several prototypes and receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from fellow enthusiasts, Swamp City Coolers was born.
Our coolers are manufactured from lightweight, high-quality rigid polymer with stainless steel components, meaning they won't rust and are built to last. Their lightweight construction, combined with fully lined mounting brackets, ensures they can be fitted without damaging your pride and joy.
Designed to mount on the passenger side of the vehicle, our coolers are available for both left-hand and right-hand drive cars. Unlike original vintage swamp coolers, our designs focus on combining classic styling with modern practicality. They contain no heavy internal mechanisms, instead providing a constant flow of cool, fresh air into your vehicle through the window vent—keeping you comfortable while adding an authentic period look.

Our coolers are fully sealed units that provide a continuous channel of fresh air into your vehicle. As the vehicle moves, fresh air is forced into the front of the cooler and directed through the window vents into the cabin.
Unlike traditional swamp coolers, our units do not contain ice or water. This keeps them lightweight while eliminating the risk of excess weight, leaks, corrosion and vehicle rot.
